Update-Consignment Sale
Told you all that I'd let you know how the consignment sale went. It was a little stressful dropping of my stuff (the Concord consignment sale turned out to be on the other side of Harrisburg!) but in the end I made $153.00 (including the $20.00 I made in the BoJ's parking lot when I stopped for a Cheerwine on the way to the sale)! There will be another sale in Cornelius in the fall and I'll definitely do it again then because I have lots of fall/winter items left.

Cool New Shoes
I love shoes, even if they aren't for me. Fletcher had outgrown his shoes bought in the fall, so yesterday, Fletcher and I headed to Northlake Mall to buy new shoes at Striderite. His foot was a full size larger than it was last time! He's now in a 10 1/2! They were having their Buy 1 Get 1 Half-off Sale. Fletcher chose these cool pairs! I think the green ones are about the coolest shoes I've ever seen!
While at the mall we enjoyed a slice of pizza in the food court, riding the escalator, looking around in Build-a-Bear and KB Toys, and playing in the play area.
Illnesses and Haircut
Well, Fletcher has an ear infection, the makings of a sinus infection, an antibiotic, and a new haircut.
He has had allergies for the past month or so and I've taken him to the doctor 2 times recently to make sure that it's not anything other than allergies. Well last night his ear started hurting, but he felt fine this morning (has had no fever the whole time) so we went to the see doctor in Urgent Care and then to get a haircut.
While at the doctor's office, she thought I sounded worse than Fletcher, so I had a chest x-ray and left with 2 prescriptions myself. We both really feel fine today. We'll both be heading back to the doctor on Wednesday or Thursday for a recheck.
Hope you're all feeling well! Check out Fletcher's cool (and much shorter than normal) haircut!

Too Much Stuff!
Ed and I have been paying $100 a month to store stuff in a Pack-Rat unit for over a year now. Crazy! I have come to the realization that we all have too much stuff. We are a society driven by stuff: have the most stuff, the best stuff, cooler stuff than the stuff our neighbors have. Whatever!
Ed and I had a yard sale over the weekend and made $205 selling our stuff and took what was left to donate at Goodwill and the library (3 cars full). Thanks to Aaron for coming to help and neighbor Jeff for coming to the rescue when the downpour started! I feel freer having gotten rid of lots of stuff and we now know that when (and if) we ever move, we will only be handling and moving the things that we really love, know we'll use, or has a purpose. We won't be moving stuff to cram it in an attic again!
In addition to the yard sale, I am consigning some kids stuff at the Huge Kids Sale in Concord next week. I'll let you know how it goes. We're selling a car (as we currently have 3). Ed's also selling some stuff on eBay.
If you don't know about freecycle, check it out. We have recently given away computer parts, crib mattress, diskettes, and more to people who want/need these things. And have gotten some packing materials to ship the things we'll be selling on eBay, all for free.
Check out the photos from the yard sale and Fletcher's lemonade stand. Get rid of stuff!
