Super Fletcher!

What's that, up in the sky? Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's...Super Fletcher!

Here are more of Danielle's photos. Awesome! Love these!

Danielle's Fletcher Photos

Back in June, Fletcher and I went to Durham to visit with my very talented friend Danielle, owner of Danielle Anthony Photography. Danielle took lots of great photos of Fletcher and here are a few of my favorites from the session. Thanks, Danielle. You did a great job capturing Fletcher's spirit!

Beautiful Great Smokey Mountains National Park

More Photos from Gatlinburg Trip

Gatlinburg, Tennesse

We were in Gatlinburg with all of Ed's family from Sunday until yesterday. We enjoyed everyone's company and visiting with family we had not seen in a while (Ed's extended family gets together every 3 years). We went to Ober Gatlinburg, Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies, tubing, hiking to Laurel Falls, auto tour of Cades Cove in the National Park where we saw wild turkeys, deer, a red-headed woodpecker, and more. Here are some photos from Ober Gatlinburg. More later.

Sunflower

Fletcher got sunflower seeds in his Easter basket. A week or so after Easter, Fletcher planted the seeds in the garden. Only one seemed to grow (there is just too much other things in the garden for the little seeds to get enough light) and we have been anxiously watching it grow. Yesterday was the big day and Fletcher's sunflower bloomed. Beautiful! They are mine and Fletcher's favorite flowers. Photos taken yesterday and this morning.

Happy Birthday, Sophie!

Saturday afternoon we helped celebrate Sophie's 4th birthday at Rollie Pollie's in Mooresville. What an awesome place! Fletcher loved it! After lots of play in the bouncer, on the zip-line, and in the block pit, the kids enjoyed pizza, snacks, and an awesome dinosaur cake. A very happy birthday to Sophie!

Cooking

Fletcher loves to cook so we signed him up for a Saturday morning class at Young Chefs Academy in Cornelius. Fletcher seemed to enjoy it. I thought that the teacher could have been a lot more engaging and missed many learning opportunities for the kids. We'll try it on a different day and see if that makes a difference.

New Blog

I have started another blog as a tool to keep me accountable to myself as I try to improve my health through diet and exercise. You can find it at www.josjourneytofitness.blogspot.com.

Fun on the Fourth

On Friday the 4th Fletcher and I drove to Mom's and hung out with Grandmaw, Uncle Aaron, and Grandpaw. Then we headed to Taylorsville to my Uncle Mike and Aunt Susan's beautiful little piece of heaven: a camper by the creek. It was nice to see family. The kids all loved playing in the creek. Fletcher was soaked from head to toe! We stayed later than most and enjoyed some sparklers that Anita's family had. We knew it was time to go when Fletcher turned on the hose and sprayed us all! What a stinker!

Keeping up with family and friends and posting lots of photos of Fletcher
