Fun with Gramma!

Ed's Mom came down from NJ so I could get some work done this week before we head to her house in NJ for a week and before Fletcher is out of school for the summer. It has been great! I worked for 6 hours yesterday and 2 today, w/o interruption! Fletcher has really enjoyed having Gramma here and has kept her very busy! Ed and I got to go out to eat (alone) last night which was great for us.

Today all the kids got to enjoy the company of Gramma. We went down to the neighborhood playground and sandbox where we ran, slid, and built sand castles.

No More School for Jo, for Now

Yippee! I am done with school (until next fall)! I turned in my last written assignment last week, received my A, and am done with my post graduate education, at least until I'm actually in an elementary school. I have to log over 100 hours for my last course required for certification, but am going to wait until I'm actually in a paying position before signing up for that one. I'll be returning to work full time next fall as a School Media Specialist when Fletcher starts Kindergarten (gasp!). I'm hoping to be able to find a job in our part of the county and that Fletcher will be allowed to attend the school where I am working. But the job hunt will not start until next Spring. For now, I'm free!!! (from school anyway).

Our Son Shine

Sitting in church on Sunday morning, Ed and I both had one of those moments that just make you stop for a moment. Although the service and sermon were wonderful, it wasn't that that moved us. It was our son, sitting through the service and entertaining himself with paper and 3 crayons, meticulously coloring an illustration of Jesus (in the lines). I can't say specifically what it was, but I was really moved and so proud of Fletcher.

Happy Birthday, Andrew!

Today we headed to Wingate to celebrate my cousin Helen's son's 4th birthday. It was great to see some family and the kids had a great time playing. Notice how Fletcher is right in the middle of all the action! The cutie with red hair is Andrew and the other cutie with pigtails and the greatest grin is Ella, my cousin James' daughter. Happy Birthday, Andrew!

Bluegrass and BBQ

You all probably know how much I love Latta Plantation. I also love Bluegrass music and like BBQ pretty good, too. So the Bluegrass and BBQ event at Latta on Saturday night was "right up my ally"! We all enjoyed eating, listening to the live music, and the beautiful setting. We met some really nice people that we enjoyed talking with throughout the evening. Fletcher got to ride a pony (Stacey) twice and loved it! He also took 2 rides on the "Pony Express," a train-like contraption pulled by a ATV. We all had a very lovely evening!

Cool Dude

Check Fletcher out. He is so funny and such a boy. The hat turned backward was all his doing!

Happy Birthday, Emma Kate!

Fletcher and I enjoyed Emma Kate's 6th Birthday Party Friday afternoon. There was singing, dancing, pizza, and cake. Happy Birthday, Sweet Girl! We are so proud of you!

Keeping up with family and friends and posting lots of photos of Fletcher
